Acupressure predates acupuncture and is an effective method of preventative care as well as assists in healing through body work.
Based on session goals and by using specific points along myofascial lines/ or meridians, it is a hands on approach by holding 2 or more points simultaneously. This communicates to the brain to let go of held tension at a unique pace for each individual.
Adding joint movement and fascial stretches facilitate a fuller and quicker release to aid in the space and movement of the body, mind, and spirit.

Tension, fatigue, and pain within our bodies is held as emotional, physical, and mental symptoms. The 3 are interconnected.
Acupressure/myofascial work can help to relieve this tension to create a sense of whole-body well-being, ease of movement, breath, and mindfulness as well as a sense of relaxation. The ultimate goal is that this feeling lasts!
The client wears comfy clothing and lies on a warm treatment table for the duration of the session.

Yes, acupressure and acupuncture have the same historical origin, healing concepts, and points. The 3 main differences are that for acupressure, there are no needles, clients remain fully clothed, and the practitioner is with the client throughout the whole session.
It depends on your insurance. We do not file with insurance but will provide you with the paperwork needed for reimbursement.
Anyone can benefit from acupressure! It can be used alone or as an adjunct to care for many illnesses, injuries, or stress. It can also simply be a great way to relax.
